This is a close-up of a mouse. Some of the computer's screen and keyboard can be seen. The photo was taken with a soft focus; the border's of the objects are not clearly defined. There are pieces of paper and books (one looks suspiciously like an AP Euro book...) scattered behind the mouse, indicating that this computer is used for studying and school work mostly. The mouse's outline is blurred slightly, as if some invisible hand moved it during the taking of the photo. The photo gives the sense that the mouse controls everything, as it is the largest and most clearly defined object in the photo.
Nice Pic, R-Hizzle! What first caught my attention was the mouse. I really like how it's all fuzzy and everything, gives the picture a surreal feeling. Also, the close up on the mouse kinda gives me a sense that it's the subject of the photo. Then my attention went to all the papers and stuff behind the mouse and the computer, and you know, if that's YOUR desk, you ought to clean it. It's filthy... Anywho, what I get out of this picture is that it captures a message for this generation of technology: emphasises how our lives are so cluttered (scattered papers, blurry vision, etc.), and stressed and confusing, and at the same time, our dependence on technology. Pretty nice photo...I mean bad, BAD photo...I'm sorry, I can't do it...I can't be cynical...it's a nice picture really, I just thought I'd have another go at making you proud of me...oh well... ; )
This picture is really cool. I really like the flat angle because I haven't looked at a blog picure yet with a flat angle until now. I feel like I'm right there next to the desk and computer mouse. I'd call this a close-up of a desk area. You can't really tell where the desk is, and now more emphasis is put on the subject. There is probably a ceiling light, but it looks like the computer is giving off a good chunk of the light, and it's shining off of the keyboard. You used soft focus, so the picture is a little bit hazy. The soft focus combined with the flat angle makes me feel like I'm doing homework and my head is down on the desk and I'm about to close my eyes. The textbook and all of the papers suggest a lot of homework needs to get done. I really like this picture...it makes me sleepy.
